1. Majestic statement pieces
Dolce & Gabbana has the most grandiose ones – anything from a crown to a bejeweled head piece.

Think accessories that a belly dancer would wear.

Add in anything you can find to create a centerpiece – wire, fabric flowers, scarf, art and craft props, etc.
What is spring with the feminine touch of flowers? Consider fresh blossoms like those seen pinned to the side of the head at Dolce & Gabbana – also consider arranging them right on top of the head, over a cap, around the top knot or ponytail.
Arrange the red roses into a shape that’s more random and less predictable.
3. Unusual materials
Some designers have taken things we wouldn’t normally have used but they make for some playful and quirky varieties, elevating them into high fashion embellishments. We are definitely inspired.
At Haider Ackermann, shredded scraps of fabric are used to separate hair that had been gelled up into architectural spikes.
Leftover shreds of fabric variety have been wound and twisted into the hair, creating interesting braided-like shapes.
Multi-coloured yarn have been fashioned into faux dreadlocks.
Cellophane paper, sweet wrappers, foil and all kinds of crinkly materials have been deployed to accessorise chignons, adding a sweet quirky touch.
4. Big bows
The hair bow has been a favourite for that girly touch but this season, it’s extra elaborate and exuberant.
At Gucci, an enormous, bright pink silk ribbon (like those attached to a wedding gown) sits right in the center atop her forehead.
Use a mesh material to cleverly wrap around the head, finishing with a gigantic bow. Just like wrapping a big present!
A long piece of black ribbon tied like a headband around disheveled hair makes an otherwise formal look much more on trend.
Forget scarves, think waterproof head gear that will be perfect for the summer months.
At Maison Margiela, the bright latex fabric tied is uber cool and somewhat futuristic. Try cutting off the top of a swimming cap to create a similar effect.
A cut-out felt material makes a really cute hat or head piece alternative.
The effect is quite cyber meets sci-fi, with headwraps made of a broad, thick and elastic fabric that stretched both across the head and around the throat.
The combination of a latex bandana wrap and twisted latex ropes gives the biker chick a real badass attitude.
