Don’t be lazy
In a previous variety show, a fellow celebrity revealed that when Hwang Jung Eum was in school, her hands never left her chin, and that was how she got the V-line. Of course, in reality, you can’t just get that V-shape jaw by doing that. But it seems the actress uses a V-line face mask whenever she can – even when she’s outdoors!
Pile on the mask
Jung Eum told BNT News that her beauty must-have to achieve supple, moisturised skin is a mask pack. She reportedly uses it whenever she has a break long enough to pamper her skin! But before you reach out for the first mask pack you see, be sure to find one suitable for your skin type!
Cleanse a few times a day
The actress revealed on a TV show that proper cleansing is the key to good skin and claims she cleanses her face five to six times a day to keep impurities at bay! But she finishes off with facial oil to ensure her face doesn’t get too dry.
Eat your greens
In the same show, she revealed that she loads up on her fruits and veggies to ensure her skin gets enough nutrients. This is, of course, backed by scientific facts because studies have shown that eating foods that are packed with nutrients such as vitamins A and E and zinc can help improve your skin condition.
When asked about her secret to clear skin on Entertainment Weekly, she said, “You have to exfoliate well.” This shouldn’t come as a surprise because a buildup of dead skin cells on your skin’s surface not only traps oil and clogs up pores, but also prevents your skin from drinking up the nutrients from your skincare products by creating a barrier.
Get a good night's sleep
While this should be no secret, she emphasised the importance of consuming lots of liquid on Star Date. She also said that getting lots of rest is good for your skin. In a study reported by The Telegraph, it was found that participants who get less than eight hours of sleep for five consecutive nights and twice the number of fine lines and wrinkles, and 75% more brown spots under their eyes compared to before they started the experiment.
Think positive thoughts
On the same show, she revealed that having good thoughts can make you have good skin! Don’t see the link? Dr. Nick Lowe, a consultant dermatologist and director at the Cranley Clinic in England told Elle Canada that stress can trigger acne. He added, “Emotional issues not only worsen skin conditions but also prevent treatment from being effective.” So remember to think happy thoughts!
