1. Pick the right products
Using an angled brush like the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Defining and Blending Tool ($35), create a base with a brow powder like Benefit Cosmetics Foolproof Brow Powder ($42) in a shade that’s closest to your natural hair colour.
2. Create a base
Start by drawing a base line that will anchor the brow and act as a guideline. The brush will deposit most of the product at the first point of contact, so start drawing a quarter of the way into your brow to prevent them from looking too harsh. Then, using the leftover product on the brush, lightly define the front part of your brows and fill it in.
3. Create depth and dimension
Next, use a micro-tipped pencil like the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow ($42) in a shade deeper than the brow powder to fill in the brows with precise, hair-like strokes. Using a deeper colour allows you to create depth and dimension so your brows look natural. The key is to always use the sharp corner of the tip and control how deep or light you want the colour payoff to be by exerting the right amount of pressure.
4. Define your brows
Once you're done, you can define your brows by creating a contrast by blending concealer just below your brow. This will also camouflage outgrowth so you’re not tempted to pluck them.
