Bullying is never right, whether it’s done by a passer-by or an influential person.
Mark Zuckerberg might have gotten the stamp of approval from many, but it seems his recent video didn’t sit well with a few people, including Avril Lavigne.
In his video featuring his new artificial intelligence system, Jarvis – voiced by Morgan Freeman – he was seen taking a swipe at Nickelback. While introducing Jarvis, which he created to assist his family at home, to his Facebook followers, he was seen asking the A.I., “Hey, play us some good Nickelback songs.”
Jarvis replied, “I’m sorry, Mark. I can’t do that. There are no good Nickelback songs.”
You would have thought it was a glitch. Only, Mark’s reply affirmed otherwise. He said, “Good, that was actually a test,” implying that the rock band hasn’t released any noteworthy tracks in their career that spans more than two decades.
That didn’t go down well with Avril, the ex-wife of the group’s lead vocalist Chad Kroeger. She called him out on Twitter, saying that his “jab at Nickelback is in poor taste.”
“When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what’s going on in the world today.”

Although Mark commented on the video to clarify that the video was a “fun summary” (before Avril called him out), we’re gonna have to agree with Avril on this one, Mark. Regardless of whether it was a joke or an honest opinion, that wasn’t a smart move.
