Korean actress Song Hye Kyo confirmed that she will be acting in a new drama that will be shown on tvN in the second half of the year. Joining her is Park Bo Gum, an actor under the same company as her husband, Song Joong Ki.
The pair will be acting in Boyfriend, a drama written by Yoo Young Ah, who is behind movies like My Annoying Brother and No Breathing.
This will mark Hye Kyo’s first acting project since she married Joong Ki late last year.
The pair met when they acted in hit Korean drama Descendants of the Sun.
In Boyfriend, she will play the role of a former daughter-in-law of a chaebol (rich family who owns a conglomerate), while Bo Gum plays the average guy who finds happiness in little things. The latter is best known for his role in Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.

The story will revolve around these two characters: a woman who has everything, and a man who doesn’t. It’s not clear if they will end up playing lovers in the show, but if anything, we reckon Joong Ki will be going down to visit the set when he films. After all, his wife and beloved junior are acting on the show!
Joong Ki previously visited Singapore as a surprise guest for Bo Gum’s fan meeting in Singapore.
