Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte just hit the outlets today and everyone’s psyched – at least we are. You’ve probably read about the popular drink on websites and in magazines, and seen it in memes. PSL is officially in Starbucks’ Singapore outlets, and obviously we had to try it.
This time round, we switched things up a little by doing a blind taste test on the CLEO team and let them try the PSL in five versions: regular, with non-fat milk, with low-fat milk, with soy milk and iced. (In case you’re worried about their health/caffeine intake, don’t worry, we dispensed the drinks into little sample cups to ensure no one had a caffeine overdose.)
We labelled each drink and got them to choose their favourite and least favourite.
- A – PSL with normal milk
- B – PSL with low-fat milk
- C – PSL with non-fat milk
- D – PSL with soy milk
- E – PSL with normal milk, iced
Scroll the gallery to find out what the CLEO team really thought about the most-anticipated drink for autumn. (The moderator of the blind test didn’t take the test to ensure objectivity.)
Pumpkin Spice Latte is now available at Starbucks for $7.60 for a Grande cup (add 70 cents for soy milk) for a limited period.
