Song Seung Heon and Lee Young Ae – any K-drama fan worth his or her salt would be able to recognise the names of these two top veteran actors. And to have both of them act in one drama – you know that it’s a recipe for success.
The drama, Saimdang, is based on the historical figure Shin Saimdang (acted by Lee Young Ae) and will be aired on Oh!K at the same time as Korea – with English, Chinese and Malay subtitles, no less. Seung Heon, who is best known for his role in Autumn in my Heart, will be acting as Lee Gyeom, Saimdang’s lover.
In town to promote the drama, Seung Heon charmed the media and fans during the press conference on Saturday. Here are some highlights from the event.
Saimdang will premiere on Turner’s Oh!K (Singtel TV Channel 525 / 611) on January 26, 2017 at 9pm. Viewers can also catch it on the Hallyu pack on Cast.
