When it comes to awards shows, all eyes are on the outfits worn by celebrities. However, when it comes to awards shows involving actors, looking at the different kinds of tuxedos is not exactly what most people would do. Other than the winners, the attention is, of course, on the actors themselves. Which is why you can’t blame us for looking at the Korean actors’ faces instead of their tux at the recent Baeksang Arts Awards.
Well, that, and Gong Yoo’s tearful award acceptance speech, in which he apologised to his mother for not being able to see her often due to his schedule.
The Goblin actor, who won Best Actor award in the drama category, was not the only one who looked suave that evening. Here are all the hottest K-actors who looked like a winner, both literally and metaphorically.
Ji Chang Wook
The Fabricated City actor looks dapper in a simple tux. He was nominated for Best New Actor (Male) – Movie.
The B1A4 member was nominated for Best New Actor in a drama for his role in Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.
The actor received much love for his role in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, so it’s not surprising that he was nominated for Best New Actor for the same drama.
Lee Byung Hun
The veteran actor was one of the strong contenders for Best Actor in the Film category, but lost out to Song Kang Ho.
Do Kyung Soo
The EXO member, who brought home the Popularity Award for his role in the movie My Annoying Brother, opted for a blue tuxedo instead of the usual black.
Park Bo Gum
The Moonlight Drawn by Clouds actor unsurprisingly clinched the Popularity Award, alongside his co-star Kim Yoo Jung, in the drama category.
Jo Jung Seok
The actor, who was nominated for Best Actor in a drama for his role in Jealousy Incarnate, lost the award to Goblin‘s Gong Yoo.
Ryu Jun Yeol
The actor who shot to fame through Reply 1988 took home the Best New Actor award in the film category for his role in The King.
