Things We Found Out About Rain During His Singapore Trip
You might remember Rain as the lead actor in hit drama Full House in 2004, and Kim Taehee’s boyfriend at present, but regardless of which version of Rain you know, there’s no denying it – the king of K-pop is back.
Best known for his drool-worthy bod and sexy dance moves, the R&B singer makes a comeback as a singer on Singapore shores this week for his concert, Rain Tour in Singapore – The Squall. The concert comes two weeks shy of his comeback album, due to be released on January 15, 2017.
Here are the highlights from the press conference and concert.

He’s working with Psy for his new album
He said, “For this album, I produced it with Psy. He’s is known for retro style, EDM and exciting dance songs. But this time round, he’s producing an R&B album and this will be coupled with my signature performing style.”
He doesn’t like to talk about his private life
A question about marriage and having kids didn’t pass through the censors. The host said while laughing awkwardly, “This is a sensitive question. Rain wouldn’t be able to answer that.”
He loves Singapore so much that he wants to film a movie here
“[The genre] doesn’t matter to me. I really like Singapore, so whatever opportunity that comes my way, I will definitely want to give it a go.”
He still has the dance moves
Known to be a fab dancer when he first debuted, the King of K-pop proved that his dance skills are unrivalled when he tackled complicated choreography with clockwork precision. He even danced to ballads!
He speaks English pretty well
What we gathered from his interactions with fans in between the songs: His enunciation of English words is still impressive although it’s been a while since he filmed a Hollywood movie. He could totally act in a Channel 5 production and pull it off!
He's really good at fan service
From teasing fans by pretending to strip to actually stripping and standing in front of the stage to get closer to the fans, this man sure knows how to get fans all riled up. He even grabbed a fan’s camera to take a selfie!
He likes his bling
A jewel-encrusted jacket, a blinged-out cap, boots studded with gems – Rain went all out with blings towards the end of his set, making us wonder, just how much does that costume cost?
He has a habit of touching his eyebrow after taking off his sunglasses
We’re not sure if we’re the only ones who noticed, but every time he takes off his shades for a mo’, he would wipe one of his brows. We have no idea why, but our best guess is that he’s trying to prevent sweat from getting into his eyes.
He can sing in Mandarin
While he has revealed that his new album will include Chinese songs, we were still blown away when he actually sang a Mandarin track during the concert.
