So you’ve been dating the same guy since you were in school. You’re practically like a married couple – sans the wedding and marriage certificate. You feel like there’s no longer sparks between the two of you, but that doesn’t mean the relationship is doomed. Try bringing back the sparks with these simple things that you might have taken for granted.
Shower Him With Compliments
Never underestimate how a simple compliment can help your partner feel better.
Once in a while, tell him, “You look so cute, honey!” or if you’re trying to be more specific, highlight a feature about him that you love so much. For example, if he's been working out more often, tell them how amazing his arms/legs/body looks.
Share A Laugh
The key here is to make jokes together, not about each other. Not only does it help you guys bond, but you’ll also be really happy.
Touch Him Once In A While
This can be a little tricky, but if you’re able to keep it a secret, it could work.
While you’re out and about, make it a point to touch him once in a while. Whether it’s on his arm, his thighs or if you’re feeling cheeky, on his butt, do it so you can maintain that level of playfulness and cheekiness in the relationship. It keeps things exciting and fun too.
Always Focus On Him Even If You're Out With Friends
Even if you’re out with your friends (especially if he's not close to them), make it a point to include him in conversations and let him know he's special to you through subtle cues.
Whether it’s a subtle brush of his thigh or a longing look, these little actions send loving messages to your other half to let him know that he's important to you.
Every once in a while, give your significant other a little kiss on his face to let him know how special he is to you.
