We all have our insecurities. There are days that we just feel like hiding from public because of how we look. There are also times when we are afraid to voice out our opinions because of what others might say. But negative thoughts like these will only increase your stress levels and make you less happy. Hopefully, these simple tips will help you embrace your insecurities for that confidence boost.

  1. Dress to impress
    Put on some nice clothes and you’ll definitely feel like you’re on top on the world. But that doesn’t mean you have to wear expensive brands or threads. It can be something simple and comfortable. As long as it makes you feel confident, that’s all you need. When you are well-dressed, you’ll also be in a better mood because you’ll feel ready to take on the world. So put an end to those insecure hobo days (unless boho chic is your fave look), and start showing off the portrait of success that is you.
  2. Be yourself
    Don’t be afraid of what others might think or say, and just be yourself. Dress, do and say what you think and feel is right. Shrug off any insults or negative comments and be grateful for the compliments you receive instead. Don’t be pressured by your friends or society into being someone you’re not. After all, you should focus on yourself and not pleasing others.
  3. Smile
    You may find yourself in awkward or tense situations sometimes, like at a party or in school. Ease up the tension with a smile. Give a nod and sweet smile to others instead of keeping to yourself. If you’re bold, say a simple “hello” too. Meeting new people is a good way for you to feel more confident, happier and more relaxed. You’ll leave a good impression on others too!
