5 Simple Ways To Motivate Yourself To Workout

Getting your butt off the floor to hit the gym can be a real feat, especially when you already work 5 days a week. Here are some ways you can motivate yourself to get moving!

  1. Workout buddy

Working out alone can not only be boring, but mentally tiring as well. Try to incorporate some exercise when you spend time with your bestie or boyfriend and have workout dates! This way, you’ll get to spend quality time together while keeping fit. Cycle around Coney Island or run around the CBD area to enjoy the city skyline. Try timing your runs so you cool down while enjoying the lightshow at Marina Bay Sands at 8pm every evening.

  1. Cute workout clothes

Why work out in shabby school t-shirts and FBT shorts when you have Puma and lululemon to turn to? Working out in proper attire like compression tights can help with better usage of oxygen in your muscles and allow your muscles to recover more quickly.

  1. An awesome playlist

Make a playlist of your favorite songs to keep you feeling upbeat. Music also serves as a good form of distraction when every muscle in your body is screaming for you to stop. Create your own playlist of upbeat songs or listen to one of those ready-made playlists in Spotify’s “Running” or “Workout” mood tabs.

  1. Visual help

Find a motivational quote that inspires you and use it as your phone wallpaper. So much so that every time you look at your phone, you’ll be reminded of your goal.

  1. Eye candy
