Remember when Miranda Kerr blew everyone’s minds with her green smoothie diet? It seems she’s not the only one who loves a good smoothie to keep fit.

Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima recently shared with Vogue her recipe for her morning smoothie to increase energy levels and kick-start her metabolism in the mornings.

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/2 avocado

  • Honey to taste

She adds that she would add yoghurt or milk if she wants something heavier.

OK, hold up – does the smoothie sound familiar? Yes, it sounds like the good ‘ol avocado milkshake that you can buy at the juice stall at most hawker centres.

The only difference? Our version of avocado milkshake usually uses evaporated milk, but you can ask if they could switch it up with normal milk for you. Also, do note that some stalls use gula melaka instead of honey.

If you’re feeling hardworking – and also because juice stalls don’t open that early in the morning – you could always buy avocados from the supermarket and blend it yourself. After all, it takes no more than 15 minutes to whip up!

Of course, you can’t just rely on this if you want a flat belly. You gotta work for it, like the supermodel.
