If you’ve been working all day and all night just to meet that deadline, then you deserve a treat. It’s nice to indulge in a little pampering sometimes — but if you’re going to try and head to spa for a little R&R in the middle of the day, then you probably don’t want too much, just to make sure you get back to the office within your allotted one hour lunch time (because we’re all good rule-followers like that).

J.W. Marriott The South Beach Spa by JW
This brand new spa at the J.W. Marriott South Beach offers four different types of spa treatments on the menu, with each section offering an express version of the treatments. The Detox and Revive treatment is just 40-minutes and is great if you’ve felt the morning has been a little slow and you, a little sluggish. A combination of zesty citrus oils makes this one re-energising massage. Much better than a coffee.
Called “Pick Me Up with LED,” this 30-minute facial ($80.25) from this favourite local brand is a great way to get your lunch and your pampering in. Using LED light therapy, this treatment is designed to improve the skin, provide hydration and stimulate cellular repair and collagen production. There is also a relaxing shoulder massage included so it’s not just your face that’s brighter when head back to the office. The spa also has a makeup counter with complimentary hair products you can use so no one will be none the wiser about where you’ve been at lunch.
Thanks to technology, a quick facial without the fuss or redness is totally possible at lunch time. DrX Medispa offers a Photo-Rejuvenation Treatment that is just 20-minutes for face, 30-minutes if you include the neck area. This treatment uses broad band light technology to improve complexion and overall skin tone. This treatment work as an add-on to the Derma-Rx Essential Facial (if you have an extra hour to spare) or on its own.
The Fullerton Spa 30-minute facial or back massage
Right in the heart of the CBD, who’d have thought the luxurious Fullerton Hotel would also be a great place to sneak away for a short facial or massage? Their 30-minute Express and Glow Facial ($85) leaves your skin softer and more radiant, or if you need a little muscle soothing, the 30-minute Back Relief Massage ($80) will also get all those knots out before you head back to the board room.
Burn some fat instead of eating it at lunch time with Spa Esprit’s Endermologie treatment. The treatment can be done in 20, 40 or 60 minutes but since it’s only available at the Dempsey outlet, it might be better to save some time for travelling. This treatment is designed to break down cellulite for a smoother, firmer physique and also uses lymphatic drainage to loosen up tense muscles and improve internal circulation.
