Thanks to a special pigment in the foundation, it adapts to all kinds of lighting—indoors and outdoors—so your skin always looks bright and glowing. It also has natural flower acids that boost radiance, and hyaluronic acid to keep skin hydrated and healthy.
ETUDE HOUSE Play Color Eye Palette: Rose Bomb, $43.90
You definitely want to get your hands on this eyeshadow palette curated by none other than South Korean celebrity makeup artist and YouTuber Pony. The colours are true to her personal style and are a gorgeous mix of matte, satin and shimmer in shades of rose. If you prefer warm, neutral shades there’s also the Best Loved palette that is a curation of the best-selling ETUDE HOUSE eyeshadows.
Orbis U Moisture, $49
Did you know that there are water channels called aquaporins in our skin that control and regulate the flow of water deep within the cellular membrane? And the more aquaporins you have in your skin, the more bouncy, healthy and glowing your skin looks. Why do you need to know this? Because this dense, yet airy light moisturiser (think of a soufflé cheesecake) contains a unique blend of peach leaf, eelgrass and cornflower extracts that help boost the aquaporins in the skin. It is quickly absorbed and keeps skin hydrated and comfortable without feeling sticky or heavy.
VDIVOV Lip Cut Rouge Velvet, $29
THE FACE SHOP has launched a professional line of makeup that includes lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, base makeup, eyeliners and mascaras. We especially like their Lip Cut Rouge Velvet lipstick that are super pigmented and give a velvet matte finish without drying the lips. Also check out the Double Stay Cushion that has SPF50 and thanks to a special technology, the foundation adheres to the skin better for a long-wearing finish.
Fresh Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum, $45
Think of this as the superfood juice that your skin needs to stay healthy. It’s a blend of vitamins C, E, and B5, along with botanical juices, oil and water, that helps brighten skin, and keeps it hydrated, firm and nourished. These active ingredients are encapsulated in microbubbles (there are over 480,000 in this 15ml bottle) to keep them fresh and intact until you spread the serum on your skin, to maximise the potency and efficacy of the product.
Tarte Unleashed Eyeshadow Palette, $59
If you’re the kind of makeup kween that likes a bit of colour, this palette is for you. Packed with shades that range from bright tropical—for those fun nights out—to earthy tones for a more everyday beat, this palette is worth the moolah. The eyeshadows have matte, metallic and pearlescent finishes and are infused with Amazonian clay and mineral pigments that are easy to blend and are gentle on the skin around your eyes. Plus, it comes with a travel-sized Big Ego mascara. 10/10 would recommend.
Foreo Luna 3, $299 each
Like most of the Luna ranges from the brand, this nifty cleansing device comes in three colour-coded variants—pearl pink for normal skin types, lavender for sensitive skin types, and blue for those with combination skin. The difference this time round is that the device is 100 per cent app-enabled. Each device syncs with the Foreo app to operate at your preferred pulsation intensity (there are 16 to choose from) during cleansing and the firming massage routine after that. The app even lets you find your Luna using the “Find My Luna” feature so you never have to worry about misplacing your device. The silicone touchpoints on these new devices are also designed to reach harder-to-reach spots for a deeper and more effective cleanse, and the battery can last up to 650 uses per charge.
YSL Beauté Vernis A Levres Water Stain, $52
The latest addition to the YSL Beauté family, this liquid lip stain offers buildable intensity. The formula, 40 per cent of which is water, goes on like a thin film that envelops the lips to give a long-lasting, glossy-but-not-sticky finish. One layer gives a light splash of colour; add on a couple more if you’re looking for an intense colour payoff. There are 18 shades comprising nudes, oranges, pinks and reds, but the brand’s global beauty director Tom Pecheux, who created all the shades, recommends #603 In Berry Deep as this season’s must-have colour because “it works on every skin tone”. Two of the shades are available exclusively online—#604 Peach Plunge and #616 Bathed in Beige.
Melvita Argan Oil, $44
Melvita is the new hair, face and body care clean beauty brand you need to add to your beauty stash. Founded in 1983, and is now under the L’Occitane group and finally launched in Singapore—it’s been available in Malaysia for a few years now. The products are formulated with sustainably sourced organic ingredients and are made in a ISO-certified factory in France, without controversial synthetic chemicals. Our picks are the Melvita Argan Oil, a multipurpose 100 per cent cold-pressed oil and the Melvita Rose Extraordinary Water a serum-lotion ($44 for 100ml) made from 100 per cent natural rose that also has micro-hyaluronic acid to help hydrate and plump up skin.
Chanel Les 4 Ombres in #332 Noir Supreme, $94
If you’re always looking forward to any drops by Chanel, here’s the good news: the brand just dropped their Fall-Winter Makeup Collection 2019, called Noir Et Blanc. The collection comprises 15 items, from nail polish to mascara. Our favourite is this limited-edition eyeshadow palette which has a deeper colour palette that encompasses the feeling of the fall and winter seasons, and can be used to create different mysterious smoky-eye looks. The formula is creamy and highly pigmented, as is expected of the brand. You know you want it.
