Sponge and Puff Detergent
You might want to buy this in bulk if you’re even blessed enough to land your hands on this (they’re always sold out, unfortunately). Endless praises were sung about this product by internet users, including us; this is our holy grailof brush and beauty blender cleaners.
We can’t stress this enough: You absolutely need this in your life. It’s powerful and dissolves ALL the product that’s been sitting on your brushes and tools for some time. With the most minimal effort too, simply swirl your brush or sponges in this miraculous gel substance and your tools come out looking just as they did when you first bought them. It’s incredibly effective, removing all the stains on our beauty blenders we were convinced were there to stay.
There’s a catch here though: Refrain from washing your natural fibre brushes as it’ll damage the bristles leaving you with a dry and frizzy aftermath. Stick to synthetic brushes – this is after all, a strong and intensive DETERGENT as its name suggests.

We absolutely recommend this range from Daiso. Not all of us were born with Bambi lashes, but we definitely can come close with these fluttering, natural looking extensions. The invisible, lightweight band is one of the best we’ve seen so far. Yes, even amongst cult favourites like Ardell. We recommend the ones in W202 (Just remember, they’re the ones in yellow packaging). They’re voluminous and long, with the lashes extending longer towards the outer-eye which helps in lengthening your eyes.
Clear Brow Gel
This lightweight eyebrow sealer works as a form of adhesive to really set your eyebrows in place for the entire day. It’s not an exaggeration. After a full day of work and sweating it out after in the gym, our eyebrows are stillon point. This stuff almost looks like a clear nail polish! And don’t be fooled by its gimmicky packaging, it’s a great dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow gel. That alone speaks volumes, doesn’t it? A $2 product in place of a US$22 one… Yes, please.
This set comes in a compact plastic case with 2 shades and a brush. The sharp angled brush has firm bristles, which assists in easy application and shaping of your brows. The colour is buildable, and you get to play around with mixing the two shades to get the ideal colour that’ll be perfect for you. Surprisingly, it took us a much shorter time in getting our brows done when we’re using this as compared to our usual handy brow pencils. We recommend teaming this with the clear brow gel mentioned earlier to eliminate the odds of having close to no brows by midday.
Winmax Slim Lipsticks
To be honest, this works better as a lip balm than a lipstick. It’s sheer, with just the right amount of lustre that’ll grant you a desirable looking plump pout. It comes in 5 natural looking shades: Peach, Cherry Blossom, Apricot, Mocha and Raspberry. You can’t go wrong with these, they’re creamy and perfect for everyday wear. We particularly enjoy using it as a lip topper over a coat of matte lipstick whenever we want a glossy finish. Otherwise when used on its own, this range promises a ‘Your Lips But Better’ look.
This powder brush has worked its way up to the frontline of our collection of makeup brushes. The bristles are exquisitely soft, and they pack on so much pigment whenever we’re using this for highlighter application. If a strong highlight is your thing, this powder brush will work like a dream. Of course, you can use it for other powder products such as finishing powder, bronzer or blush. We also enjoy the thinness of the brush head when it comes to contouring as it gives us a sharp contour that works wonders in defining the face. You can now leave the days of harsh, unblended makeup behind because this brush will do all the work in blending for you.
Airless Pump Bottles
There are many benefits to storing your skincare products in these airless pump bottles. They’ll protect them from excessive exposure to air and bacteria, which will increase the shelf life of your treasured toners, serums and other preservative-free creams by up to 15%. The Daiso bottles come in various different sizes as well, which really helps whenever we’re travelling. We recommend purchasing a few before separating your skincare products into the bottles so that you’ll be able to leave one at home, one the desk in your office, and even one in your purse.
Silicone Face Mask
Sheet masks are an integral part of everyone’s night-time beauty routine. That’s a given. But what really helps us step up our sheet mask game is this silicone face mask cover. It packs in double the goodness and skin-healing properties that your normal sheet mask will already give your skin by sealing in the moisture and stalling the speed at which your mask will dry down. When you hook the mask over your ears, it’ll sit snugly on top of your sheet mask preventing it from slipping or folding up all over the place (it’s a very distressing reality, ladies). The icing on top of the cake is that it’s also reusable and washable. 10 more points to it for being an environmentally conscious choice!
BB Face Masks
Since we’re on the topic of sheet masks, the BB face mask from Daiso is an absolute steal. We’ve found that it leaves our face feeling slightly more soft and hydrated. It, of course, doesn’t really do wonders for our skin. But we didn’t expect it to, it was $2. Though incomparable to our ride-or-die sheet mask options, this one is still worth a try if you don’t mind a product with minimal payout but INCREDIBLY affordable pricing. The BB sheet masks contain hyaluronic acid, castor oil and panthenol which are well-known for their moisturizing and firming properties. We thought we might also add that the product claims to be made in Korea, the crowning land of skincare… Do what you will with this piece of information.
Probably the most fun item we’ve got on our list, these little compressed pellets will expand into a sheet mask when you wet them with any desired serum or essences you own. You heard that right, you can customise your very own sheet mask! Feel free to experiment in mixing your products according to the condition of your skin. When the occasional wave of creativity hits, we like to play around with natural ingredients we can find in the kitchen such as diluted honey or lemon juice. It’s important to note that only water-based products will be absorbed, so refrain from adding oil-based serums that’ll hinder the expansion process of the pellet.
