One of the hardest things to do as a busy girl is make sure your makeup is always on point. That’s why in Korea, women are turning to semi-permanent services to make sure they look their best the moment they wake up. Ranging from eyebrow and eyeliner, to even hairline treatments, semi-permanent services are a great way to get the best out of your facial features with minimum time spent. And these services are now available in Singapore at KO Brows. All you have to do is figure out which ones are the best for you and to help you do that, we spoke to Korean beauty consultant Lee Su Jin.
Q: Tell us more about the semi-permanent brow services from Korea.
Su Jin (SJ): Semi-permanent services usually mean microblading, which creates a fuller but still natural look for your brows. These days, the style is evolving to combine a method that involves shading – so it still looks like you’re wearing makeup.
Q: What is the brow trend like in Korea now?
SJ: In the past, it used to be more about straight brows, but it’s been changing over time. Lately, women are going for a bit of a curve. However, it’s a little different from the Western-style arch. It’s quite subtle.
Q: What else can you do with semi-permanent services?
SJ: Semi-permanent services are very diverse! You can do a lot with them. Some of the popular options in Korea now are hairline treatments (colouring areas that look a bit “bald”) as well as eyeliner and even lip tattoos. In Singapore, women prefer a bit more “drama” than in Korea, but this is easy to do with these services.
