Even after so many years, we’re still not over K-Beauty tints (and will never be, tbh). But now that everyone is into Kylie Jenner-esque matte finishes, our favourite Korean beauty brands have kindly formulated lip tints with matte and/or velvet formula so we can marry the best of both worlds. Here are some of our favourites.
Mamonde Creamy Tint Squeeze Lip, $18
This looks like a lip crayon, but the tube is squeezable so you can dispense just the right amount of product, whether you want to use it as a K-beauty gradient lip tint or full-on colour.
This has a watery texture upon first application, but dries to a matte finish. Despite the dropper applicator design, it comes with an attached doe foot applicator so you don’t have to worry about getting your fingers stained.
This comes with an angled applicator, which makes it easier for you to apply so you don’t have to bend your wrist too much to get the right angle, especially for the edges.
innisfree Vivid Cotton Ink Crushed Rose Collection in No.12 Peach Beige Maple, $15
If you still love the dried rose lip trend, you’d definitely love this new collection from innisfree that boasts five pretty colours. Dab on and let dry for a non-drying velvet finish.
This gel mousse dries to a matte yet silky finish without drying out your lips. Choose among seven shades.
HERA Sensual Intense Velvet, $43
If the fine lines on your lips are a huge bother to you, you’d love this lip tint, which uses Elastomer technology to fill up the wrinkles for a smooth finish.
If you’re not good with doe foot applicators, you’ll love this lip tint that comes in a pen. It also has a chocolate scent, which is a bonus for chocolate lovers.
