Dressing up for Halloween is all fun and games till it’s time to take off your makeup. And while removing your makeup is hard enough, hairspray that’s clumped up your hair is a whole other story. Definitely a complete nightmare when all you want is to fall into bed.
So, to help you with the process, we got celebrity makeup artist Sahur Saleim (@sahursart) to share tips on how to remove Halloween makeup. Sahur, who has over 300 thousand followers on Instagram, is known for her dramatic makeup looks that often include stick-ons, special effects makeup and glitter. She says, “For long-wearing and stubborn makeup, special effects makeup and glitter, I use the Lancôme Bi-Facil Waterproof Makeup Remover. I hold it in place for a few seconds so it can break down the makeup before gently rubbing and wiping it off.”
She goes on to say that she uses the BYBI Swipe Clean Cleansing Oil for foundations, colour and non-waterproof makeup. “It’s very gentle on the skin, easy to use and removes almost everything! You can even use it for tougher makeup mentioned above but I think it works best for skin products.”
Finally, as a last step in her cleansing routine, Sahur uses the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Solution and wipes the cotton pads until they come off clean, before she goes on to her usual skincare routine.
