Whether you’re a bubble tea fanatic who can’t function without a cup every other day, or feel meh about the sweet treat, the popularity of bubble tea is hard to ignore. Every aspect of the drink: the milky sweetness, caramelised flavour, aroma of the tea and even the chewiness of the tapioca (or brown sugar) pearls have taken the world by storm.
And true to any great trend worth its weight, it has also inspired other food and drink items—both sweet and savoury. In fact, Taiwan’s bubble tea has made it into almost every type of food and beverage creation. From pizza and hotpot to cakes and tarts, we love the bubble-tea inspired foods out there!
