She was born in New York City
NYC-born Jacqueline grew up in the Big Apple before moving to Canada at seven. She continued to reside there until she moved to Hong Kong after joining the Miss Hong Kong pageant in 2012. It’s a given then that she is fluent in English.
She competed in Miss World 2013
Despite landing first runner-up in Miss Hong Kong pageant, Jacqueline went on to represent Hong Kong in Miss World 2013, as the reigning champion was overage. She ranked in top 12 for Miss World Talent, a talent competition in the Miss World pageant.
Being a TVB actress was her first job
Like most Miss Hong Kong winners, Jacqueline signed a contract with TVB, which groomed her to be an actress. This was her first job out of university and she said in a previous interview that while it was tough, it made her feel like “a full-fledged independent woman”.
She has been dating Kenneth Ma for more than two years
They were first spotted out on a movie date in 2017, and when asked at the time, Jacqueline said they were still getting to know each other and asked the media to give them space as they were still in the early stage of their relationship. The pair acted together in Inspector Gourmet in 2016. But that wasn’t the first time they acted in the same drama—Jacqueline had a cameo role in The Hippocratic Crush II, in which Kenneth was the lead actor.
It took her six years to land a leading role
Jacqueline started out with a cameo role on The Hippocratic Crush II, and worked her way up for four years before she got a second female lead role on Provocateur and another two years before scoring two lead roles on The Maid Alliance and Finding Her Voice.
She has 639k followers on Instagram
We live in the day and age where one gets judged based on the number of Instagram followers they have, so naturally, we have to see how much of a social following she has (we kid). Jacqueline is pretty active on Instagram—just like any other millennial. Her posts are more about her daily life, including behind-the-scenes photos and selfies.
She went to gym with Sammi Cheng at least once
Last year, Sammi posted a video of her working out with Jacqueline—or more like her cheering Jacqueline, who was lifting weights, on—and even called her “Bb” in the caption.
