Korean actor Jo Min Ki was reportedly found dead in a storage next to an underground carpark.
According to the Korean police, the actor was found by his wife. Although the police is still investigating the cause of death, he was presumed to have taken his own life.
Last month, the actor was embroiled in a sexual abuse scandal where the actor, who also taught at Chungbuk National University, allegedly molested his female students.
Although he initially denied the allegations, but finally admitted to his wrongdoings after an actress, Song Haneul, called him out in a Facebook post for molesting her when she was his student.
According to the actress, he would ask his female students to drink with him and sleep over at his “officetel”, and would touch their chests and at on one occasion, even forcefully kissed her on the lips.
She also said that his sexual misconduct was an “open secret” in the school, and that her seniors had warned her about his behaviour when she first joined the school.
Following her testimony, more students came forward to testify against him, bringing the total count to at least eight.
After issuing an apology, the actor had said that he would cooperate with the police and that he would spend the rest of his life reflecting on his mistakes.
