It seems Taylor Swift has a lot of surprises in store for us this year. Just months after a short whirlwind romance with Tom Hiddleston, she took on Kimye head-on and then disappeared from social media for eight weeks, save for a couple of posts to wish her squad members happy birthday.
She made a comeback out of the blue today, dropping a new track and surprising all of us. And it’s not just any track – it’s the soundtrack of Fifty Shades Darker, which she sung with a certain boybander.
The man in question is none other than Gigi Hadid’s squeeze, Zayn Malik.
Titled “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”, the track is a sexy dance tune that showed off their falsettos. The singer-songwriter first teased fans with a screenshot of the cover art, before posting a trailer with a snippet of the song.

Based on her latest post, the song now charts at the number one spot on iTunes in the US.
Zayn also announced the collab by posting a Polaroid he took with TayTay, which was reportedly liked by Gigi Hadid.
Not surprisingly, the ever supportive Gigi also gave her boyfriend’s new song not a shoutout on Twitter.

We don’t think they’ll be filming a music video of the song or getting raunchy on camera (would Gigi even allow that?) but the song itself is big enough a surprise for Swiftys and Zquad. Take a listen below, and if you get distracted by Christian and Ana getting it on, close your eyes when you play the video or simply buy the song on iTunes when it’s available in Singapore.
