They kickstarted the concert dressed in dazzling white gowns
The girls made a grand entrance with “You In My Heart”, looking absolutely ethereal in their dazzling white gowns. They looked even more angelic sitting on the elevated swings that were specially decorated to look like a huge floral wreath.
Their stage setup was on-point
To say that their stage setup was pretty would be an understatement. Tzuyu said that they paid extra attention to their stage setup this time, wanting to make their fantasy park theme come to life.
The girls then took ONCEs to the different parts of their fantasy park through their various sets that were decorated with stunning props and backdrops. During their performance of “Someone Like Me”, the stage was transformed into a winter wonderland with pretty snowflakes props.
They performed remixes of their hit songs
The three-hour gig boasts a string of remixes of their hit songs that fans adored. ONCEs got to enjoy a techno-remix of “Signal” and a funky-remix of “Knock Knock”. The fervent waving of the lit Candy Bongs (TWICE’s official light stick) across the dark stadium is a testament to the fans’ love for the girl group.
They totally slayed the “girl-crush” look
TWICE also showed a different side of them that fans don’t normally get to see. After the VCR, the girls reappeared on stage in dark blue suits and pants, different from the girly outfits they usually wear, and performed “Touchdown”. Talk about slaying the “girl-crush” look! They also did a major throwback to the early K-pop days with BoA’s “Valenti”.
They captivated the entire stadium with their special unit stages
First up was Dahyun, who covered Rain’s “Rainism” and changed it to “Dahyunism”. She mesmerised the entire stadium by suavely nailing the cane dance break at the end.
Following that, Jihyo, Momo, and Tzuyu performed their rendition of Beyoncé’s “End of Time”. During the commentary, Momo revealed, “A lot of our songs are very cute and sweet, so we decided to do something cool and sexy.”
Nayeon and Jeongyeon took on an iconic duet song – “My Ear’s Candy” by Baek Ji Young and 2PM’s Taecyeon. Whether the duo had intended the performance to be comical, fans were all smiles when the girls tried to mimic Taecyeon’s low voice and shared a pair of sunglasses. But what got everyone squealing was the ending where Nayeon pulled Jeongyeon in for a fake kiss, before hiding her face in embarrassment.
Mina, Sana, and Chaeyoung dedicated a song for their oppa fans
Mina, Sana and Chaeyoung performed a cute rendition of Wax’s “Oppa”, where they called out for their older male fans. During the commentary, Chaeyoung revealed, “Mina wanted something cute, so we chose a song where we can call out for our older male fans.”
Sana added, “This song is called ‘Oppa’ but it’s for everyone here, whether you’re older and younger than us.” The trio called out to their female fans and younger fans as well, making sure that all fans feel their love.
They performed their own take of WINNER’s “Really Really”
Following their unit performances, the girls continued with hits like “Knock Knock” and “What Is Love”, before covering WINNER’s “Really Really”. Fans exploded into squeals upon hearing the intro of the popular track.
Surprised that ONCEs sang along with them, Jeongyeon said, “It’s not our song but you guys followed it well, so I’m thankful for that.”
They were full of aegyo throughout the entire concert
Filled with energy, the girls often threw finger hearts and spoke animatedly much to fans’ delight. During the commentary, Jeongyeon urged Mina to do aegyo for ONCEs, but Jihyo suggested both of them do it instead. After their first attempt, Nayeon prompted them to do it again in the “English version” and asked ONCEs to count down together.
Shaking their heads with their arms akimbo, Jeongyeon and Mina cutely exclaimed in English, “Going crazy!” Needless to say, their cute antics had the whole stadium in squeals and coos.
Nayeon also found enjoyment in imitating their translator. When the latter was translating in English, Nayeon teasingly repeated after her, exclaiming phrases such as “so amazing” and “you all are very nice”.
ONCEs prepared a special video for the girls
To congratulate TWICE for their achievements thus far and express their love and gratitude, ONCEs took the initiative to put together a special video for the girls. It featured clips from their previous concert and memorable moments from their show TWICE TV6 that was filmed in Singapore.
Right before the video ended, the girls were told to turn around and they were met with the entire stadium holding up banners that read, “We will wait for TWICE to return.”
Jihyo, who started tearing up, said, “I didn’t know that you guys prepared a special video for us. I don’t really know what to say, but I’m really thankful for your love and support.”
