And so 2016 begins. Here are five things we’re crushing on this January.
LANEIGE Collagen Drink
Those on the quest for eternal youth should always have a collagen drink in their skincare arsenal. Why? Because collagen is the key ingredient for maintaining skin elasticity, an important feature for a younger-looking face. LANEIGE has condensed the collagen goodness from a whole tilapia fish into one bottle, then packed it with vitamin C and antioxidants from red orange and pomegranate. Yes, it’s as delicious as it sounds!
The LANEIGE Collagen Drink retails for $52 for 10 bottles at all LANEIGE boutiques and TANGS.
Bacon Bourbon Milkshake
Bless the genius who thought of blending ice cream, egg, triple sec, bacon and maple whiskey to create one glorious milkshake. Get a sip of the Bacon Bourbon Milkshake, $18, at OverEasy, an American diner sitting on the first floor of Liat Towers. As if the drink is not decadent enough, it’s topped with a piece of candied bacon. It’s worth all the calories, to be honest.
OverEasy is at 541 Orchard, #01-01 Liat Towers. Tel: 6684 1453.
LANEIGE Daring Darling Two Tone Lip Bar
Why stick to one lip colour when you can have two on at the same time? Say hello to your new beauty favourite – the LANEIGE Two Tone Lip Bar. We love the No.5 Daring Darling shade, which leaves a red to hot pink ombre effect. Bonus: the lipstick is also extremely moisturising, so you don’t have to worry about a chapped or flaky pout.
The LANEIGE Two Tone Lip Bar retails for $34 at all LANEIGE counters and boutiques.
2015 was a good year for this Aussie. After wrapping up The Hunger Games, Liam has been keeping busy. He starred in The Dressmaker with Kate Winslet and acted alongside Woody Harrelson once again in By Way of Helena. He’s also going to be in the Independence Day sequel, set to release in mid-2016. Can you believe he’s only turning 26 this month?
Forget motivational posters. Samantha Jayne, a 25-year-old writer and illustrator based in LA has got some serious works of art that we can all relate to. She talks about being single, juice cleanses, bad haircuts, and everything else that comes with a quarter-life crisis. So basically, a Dr Seuss for 20-somethings. Check them out on her Instagram account, @QuarterLifePoetry.
