Perched on the 45th floor of Fifty Raffles Place (the view is AWESOME, by the way), SEAR Steakhouse is serving a special Nordic three-course set lunch menu on June 17. It features fresh produce grilled to perfection in a charcoal oven, ranging from seared scallops to wood-smoked brisket.
End the meal on a sweet note with Swedish cloudberries with caramelised pears, yoghurt, vanilla, roasted nuts and milk sorbet. It costs $75++ per person, and you can add $40++ for a two-hour free flow of beer, wine, soft drink and juices.
SEAR Steakhouse is at 50 Raffles Place.
Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore
If your dad’s a big fan of steak, take him to Lawry’s for a meat-tastic four-courser. The starter (a spinning bowl salad featuring smoked salmon with tobiko and parmesan cheese followed by a truffle mushroom soup) and dessert (truffle chocolate cake or the apple crumble tart) are noteworthy, but it’s the trio of main course options that’s the star of the show.
Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore
He can choose from the Lawry’s Signature 160g Roasted Prime Rib of Beef (our pick!), the 180g Black Angus Filet Mignon with Yakiniku sauce, or the Oven Baked Cajun Salmon With Ikura. The special costs $98++ per person and runs from June 15 to 17.
Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore is at #04-01/31 Mandarin Gallery.
For an adventurous dining experience, head to Mitzo from June 11 to 17 for the six-course menu that features Cantonese favourites with a contemporary twist.
Priced at at $138++ per person, highlights include the bite-sized starters of bonito barbecued pork, prawn in osmanthus caviar mayonnaise and drunken chicken in aged rice wine, and the baked lobster with cheese and pepper sauce main. There’s also a brunch buffet from June 15 to 17 that includes specials (such as lobster claw and shrimp with caviar and osmanthus mayo) going for $78++ per person.
Mitzo is at Level 4 Grand Park Orchard Hotel
Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen at Marina Bay Sands specialises in British food, so it’s no surprise that its Father’s Day special shines the spotlight on an English favourite – Beef Wellington.
Available only on June 17 and priced at $80++, the set includes a seared filet mignon enveloped in layers of salty prosciutto, a herb crepe and a crisp crust baked to golden perfection. It also comes with a smooth and refreshing glass of Pilsner Urquell beer, a classic Czech brew with a crisp body and malty foam, to cap off the meal.
Bread Street Kitchen is at #01-81 The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
Nestled along One Fullerton pier, The Pelican is all about East Coast American surf and turf dishes. On June 16 and 17, the eatery will offer The Jolly Good Meal for Dad, a three-course meal that includes a truffle mushroom soup, a woodfire-grilled striploin steak with sauteed garlic prawns and asparagus, and a baked apple pastry drizzled with vanilla sauce.
The best part? The set, which is priced at $79++ per person, includes a free flow of beers and wines. While the interior’s pretty plush, we recommend getting a seat outside to make the most of the Marina Bay waterfront skyline.
The Pelican is at #01-01 One Fullerton.
