Here’s Where You Can Get the Best Cocktails at Half Price

Only this weekend.

Singapore has one of the best and most vibrant cocktail scenes not just in the region, but in the world. In fact, two local bars (Regent Hotel’s Manhattan and Parkview Square’s Atlas) are in the world’s top 10 alongside legendary bars in London and New York.

Unfortunately, a top-shelf tipple here can easily set you back an eye-watering $20 to $30… unless you’re at the Singapore Cocktail Festival‘s Festival Village, that is.

Open today till Sunday, 4pm to 11pm at the Empress Lawn near Victoria Theatre, the Festival Village gathers over 100 of the world’s best bartending talents, including Kazuhisa Arai of Sober Company (Shanghai), Laki Yoo from Keepers (Seoul) and local heroes Andrew Loudon from Tippling Club and Giovanni Graziadei from Jigger & Pony.

World-class cocktails at a steal

The best part? These top bartenders will be serving their signature cocktails for just $12 nett. Yaaaaaasssssss.

Small catch: you do have to shell out $35 for entry, but a) it comes with a welcome drink and b) it pretty much pays for itself once you get a couple of world-class cocktails.

There’ll also be cocktail masterclasses, where you can sample signature tipples from acclaimed bartenders and even learn their secret recipes.

If you’d rather just kick back with a G&T, you’ll be glad to know there’ll be live acts and DJ sets by some of Lion City’s finest at the festival.

Bar tours, takeovers and killer cocktail deals

But the cocktail celebration doesn’t end there. From today till 18 May, expect diverse cocktail experiences around the city, from thematic bar tours to guest bartender appearances.

There’ll also be attractive cocktail deals across 45 participating bars.

Highlight’s include Mitzo’s Monkey’s Best, $18++ (above). Crafted by Mitzo’s Head Bartender Azlam Kadir, this yummy concoction is made with Monkey Shoulder Whisky, Preserved Mandarin Orange Peel infused with Chartreuse Green, Lime Juice and Goji Berry Syrup topped with herbal soda.

Then there’s Smoke & Mirrors’ Peel and See cocktail, $20++ (above). Normally priced at $28++, the cocktail features an unlikely combo of banana, miso and olive oil integrated into a base of London Dry Gin.

With all that’s happening from now till next week, it’s no surprise why Singapore is one of the top cocktail destinations in the world.
