Weekend Round-Up: All You Need To Know
It’s time to start gearing up for Christmas (the whole of Orchard Road already has) and while presents and parties are always important, the questions I like to ask leading up to the festive seasons is “What shall I eat next?!” It’s not even a question really. This weekend is packed with some great events, parties and new restaurants to try. So be sure to make your plans (and book early) to get the most out of your two days of rest.
Head over to Marina Bay Sands where Savour Christmas is being hosted. The last and biggest of the Savour events this year, expect Christmas goodies and yummy treats from around the world and best of all, entry to the festival is free!
17-20 November, Bayfront Avenue, Next to Marina Bay Sands Exhibition Centre, www.savour.sg
DJ Yella at Ce La Vi
Party it up at Ce La Vi where iconic Californian producer, DJ Yella from Straight Outta Compton fame will be spinning Saturday 19 November. If you’re into old school hip hop won’t want to miss this.
17 November, Ce La Vi, 1 Bayfront Ave, Marina Bay Sands, Tower 3, Singapore 018971, sg.celavi.com
Head back into the 90s with Gallery & Co’s new alfresco Pop Bar at The National Gallery. Dedicated to all things funky and coloureful, expect feel good pop tunes and delicious cocktails, not to mention a menu that brings together Polynesian and Singaporean food. Trust me it works.
National Gallery Singapore, 1 Saint Andrew’s Road, #01–01, Singapore 178957, www.facebook.com/GalleryandCo
If you need to chill before the work week starts again, head to Picnic at Wisma Atria where a cool design and indoor food trucks will give you the feeling of eating in the great outdoors — in the comfort of the airconditioning. We can’t wait to try the Vodka Rigatoni.
