Ever wondered how the rich kids of Instagram lead their daily lives? We speak to Dorothy Wang from E!’s reality tv series, Rich Kids of Beverly Hills to get the dish on how life is like on her side of the world.
What is the most expensive item in your wardrobe?
This question is one of the hardest ones to answer. The most expensive item in my wardrobe is probably my Rolex, or possibly one of my Birkins or Kelly bags.
Tell us about the best party you’ve ever been to.
…I’ve been to a lot of great ones, [but] one of the best I’ve been to was in my younger days. Every party now is a little bit of the same. The best one was when I was around 21 and I was in Miami during WMC (Winter Music Conference) weekend. The party was at Diddy’s house. It was everything that you would think a party at Diddy’s house would be. There were flame throwers and the house was on the water, and an all-white party. It was amazing.
Your holiday snaps on Instagram always look so amazing. What is the one holiday destination that you think everyone should go to at least once in their lives, and why?
Good question! A destination everyone should go to once is Bali. There’s so much to do and great food. The people are amazing and there’s a great club scene. It’s a fantastic place to relax and lounge. Additionally, there’s also great shopping!
You get your fair share of hate comments as a rich kid of Beverly Hills. What’s one comment that stuck with you the most?
I do get a lot of hate from the show. One thing that has stuck with me are the comments that accuse us of flaunting our wealth to make other people feel bad. We aren’t doing the show to make anyone feel bad, we are just living our lives. It’s a big misconception.
Was there ever a time when you had to deal with a problem, and you thought to yourself, “Wow, this is such a rich kid problem”?
To be honest, all of the time. We definitely live in a luxurious world, and sometimes I think, wow these are my problems? Sometimes when I say things out loud with my friends, we will start laughing and remember that we are very lucky.
Is there anything that you would never, ever post about on social media?
Never say never. In my social media portfolio, there’s a little bit of everything. I live my life openly and I don’t think anything is off limits. It is all based off what is in the moment. That’s what’s fun about social media. You never know what you’re going to get!
