Asian women are beautiful, without a doubt, but who are the most beautiful women in Asia? TCCAsia, the subsidiary of TC Candler, released the list of top 100 Most Beautiful Faces in Asia last weekend and the results might surprise some of you.
The celebrities who made it to the top 10 spots included artists from South Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan, but what might surprise you is the absence of two popular Asian celebrities in those spots: Song Hye Kyo and Hannah Quinlivan. The former charted at Number 85, while the latter came in at Number 87.
There’s also a lack of diversity (nationality, skin colour, etc), which made us go 🤔.

9. Gloria Tang Tsz-Kei (G.E.M)
The Taiwanese singer is not only known for her steely pipes and impressive stage performances, but also her looks. She usually sports strong eye makeup while keeping the rest of her look subtle.

Also known as Nazha, the 27-year-old actress-model is of Uyghur ethnicity, which explains her name. As a model, her makeup changes according to the outfits and themes of the shoot, but off-duty, she usually tones down her makeup looks.

7. Satomi Ishihara
The Japanese actress, who is also the face of various beauty brands, is known for her barely-there makeup look whether on-screen or at events.
The Korean singer-actress has been dubbed as one of the prettiest Korean celebs by fellow celebrities and fans. The Girls’ Generation member is known for her barely-there makeup look when she’s off-duty or at events, but wears bolder colours when she’s performing as a singer.
5. Sui He
The Chinese model is known as the first East Asian model to open a Ralph Lauren runway show—which is a big deal. The 30-year-old has since worked with various brands in campaigns and commercials.
The Blackpink member is known for being cute and sexy at the same time, which means she can pull off both natural and bold makeup looks. She is currently the brand ambassador for HERA.
2. Sakura Miyawaki
You might recognise her as a member of HKT48, while others might know her as a member of Korean group I*ZONE. When the Japanese idol appeared on Produce 48, she stunned her fellow trainees with her doll-like. Although she used to wear natural makeup, she now wears more colours and glitter as an I*ZONE member.
The Blackpink member, who is Thai, became the target of racist remarks after her appearance at 33rd Golden Disc Awards. Those netizens attacked her for her looks and one commented she was “nothing but a Thai girl” without the makeup and dyed hair. Korean and Thai celebrities came to her defense, while fans rallied around her. She is the most-followed female K-pop artist on Instagram.
