These New Dining Spots in Singapore Have Amazing Views

Atas in more ways than one.

We can’t seem to get enough of rooftop restaurants. There’s something about a skyline view from up high that elevates (get it?) the entire dining experience. And while there’s no shortage of them here, we get pretty excited whenever a new one enters the scene, let alone two.

Whether you’re looking for a cool joint to have a cocktail or three with your BFFs, or a romantic spot for you and your boo to canoodle over food and wine, here are two new places with amazing views to check out this weekend.

MO Bar

Mo Bar

Located on the fourth floor of Mandarin Oriental Hotel, MO Bar isn’t exactly a rooftop bar, though it offers a great view of the Marina Bay and CBD skyline. The interior is just as impressive—think dark wood accents and plush velvet sofas surrounded by an array of tasteful modernist sculptures. Even the ceiling, a grid of etched metal plates, is a sight to behold.

Cute Cocktaik

Since it’s a bar, let’s start with the cocktails. Highlights from the 14-drink menu include Mother of Dragons (pictured above, $26), a fruity mix of strawberry, aloe vera and cachaça (a kind of white rum from Brazil) that’s as yummy as it is pretty.

Stylish Cocktail

If you like your drinks stiff, go for the Rough Waters By The Coral Sea ($26), a wine-and-cognac concoction that’s potent yet easy-drinking.

Somen Noodles

The bar bites menu is just as delightful. Must-try’s include Somen Noodles ($32), lightly vinegared noodles topped with chunks of succulent crab meat, crab roe and chives.

Sing Dogs

And then there’s Singdog ($26), bite-sized hotdogs served with achar, scallions, dry shrimp and sambal mayonnaise.

Avocado Dessert

End your meal on a sweet note with Avocado ($16), which looks like the fruit, but is actually avocado mousse and gula Melaka ice cream encased in a shell.

MO Bar is at Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Open from 11am to 1am on Sundays to Thursdays, and 11am to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
