Looking to stay in a New York-inspired loft at an affordable price for the weekend? With its floor-to-ceiling windows and clean white décor, you might want to consider checking into the Studio M for the weekend.
Here’s what we discovered from our weekend staycation there.
Loft spaces might not be abundant in Singapore, but this was not the case at the Studio M. We checked into the Premier Loft, a two-storey loft with a lounging area on the first floor, and the bed on the second. The sofa even pulls out into a bed, so if you’re throwing a mini party and your guests need to stay over you’ll be able to accommodate them!
Want to flex for the ‘gram? Then this space will let you do exactly just that. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, sunlight floods into the room during the day coupled with an amazing view of Robertson Quay.
If you’re looking to chill around the hotel, the Studio M has an open tropical deck completed with reflection pools as well as a 25-metre lap pool for those who are looking to swim. There’s also an open-air gym and three cabanas that offer a unique space for people to just hang out and soak in the atmosphere.
Studio M has two eateries within the hotel. There’s Breeze, an open-air restaurant where you can enjoy the breakfast buffets in the mornings and Memo, a self-service deli-by-day and bar-by-night. Memo currently has Christmas specials available for dinner. Meat lovers will enjoy the Festive Platter ($48++) which comes with steak, grilled chicken and pork alongside potatoes and accompanying sauces.
Nestled in the heart of Robertson Quay, we love that Studio M is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Orchard Road, but still within easy reach. If a lazy weekend brunch and a stroll along the Singapore River is your thing, there are plenty of nice eateries surrounding the area as well as bars.
But if you’re keen to explore at night, the hotel is only a mere seven minute walk from Fort Canning MRT Station and just a few bus stops from main areas like Orchard Road and Chinatown with free shuttle bus services to the CBD.
And if you’re running low on supplies, malls such as UE Square, Liang Court as well as Central Mall are all within walking distance as well.
