Every time Apple releases a new iPhone, rumours of a new version will spring up not long after. After they released iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, it seems the possibility of a new iPhone was more real than ever. While we do know that it is coming, we’re not sure when and what it entails. So we trawled the web to find out.
It might not have your usual earphone jack
Remember the rumours about iPhones being compatible with only Beats headsets after they bought over the company? It might come true because a leak shows that the new iPhone 7 doesn’t have your usual headphone jack – it only has the Lightning port. Either that or they could work on Bluetooth.

It might be waterproof
This was deduced by various websites after Apple applied for a patent involving editing tools for underwater photography.

It will come in a new colour
For those who need all their clothes and accessories to be black (we know a few of such peeps), here’s the good news: the new iPhone is said to come in another colour option – Space Black – as reported by TechTastic.
iPhone 7 might have different features from iPhone 7 Plus
The smaller device will not have the dual camera feature. It’s also said that the RAM for the iPhone 7 Plus will be bigger to support the new camera.

iPhone 7 Plus will have dual cameras
It will then automatically select and present you the best photo. Why two cameras? All the better to take photos with, my dear.
The date of release could be September 23
While earlier reports stated that it could be released on September 16, Business Insider says the important date is likely to be on September 23. Mark your calendars, everyone!

Storage possibly starts at 32GB
Yes, it seems the powers above finally understand that 16GB can’t store nothing unless you bought additional iCloud storage.

You might no longer have to click the home button
The Daily Mail reported that they are likely to introduce Force Touch, similar to the technology on Apple Watch. But judging from the leaked photos, we think this is highly unlikely.

Whether these rumours are true, we just gotta wait till the release of iPhone 7 (and iPhone 7 Plus) to find out.
