For some reason, these last few months have seen a large number of new hotels open up right here in Singapore. This is great as it gives us a lot of new places to staycay and explore at the same time. Each of these hotels have something special to offer, whether its a rooftop pool in the middle of town or a relaxing waterfront view, so you’re sure to get quite the experience the next time you book a staycation in Singapore. And the best part is, Christmas is coming up!
Opening today (that’s right! Aren’t we prompt), the new Andaz Singapore is the first of its kind here in the country and is perched in Duo, the new development at Bugis. “Andaz” means “personal style” in Hindi and that’s what this hotel is all about — with a good touch of luxury.
OPENING OFFER: Book two nights at Andaz Singapore before January 31, 2018 and you’ll enjoy 20% Standard Rate rooms (which you can make up for in the free cocktails they offer every evening in the lobby!). That’s just under $350 a night including tax!
Check it out here.
Sofitel City Centre
Right in the heart of Tanjong Pagar, the Sofitel City Centre is waiting to welcome you with a warm “bonjour” as well as a rooftop pool that lets you look out around the CBD. Racines, their all-day dining restaurant offers up a scrumptious buffet breakfast while the rooms are warm and cozy, with a bath tray that features a handy wine glass holder. Wine and dine times indeed.
Blending budget with a bit of luxury (as you would anyway on Orchard Road), the new Yotel is not quite budget, but not quite atas either. Instead, it’s inspired by the luxury you would get in the air — Business and First Class cabins to be precise. It’s more about community (there’s even a co-working space in the hotel!) and exploring the area outside but there’s also a 24-hour gym, pool deck and terrace for those who want to cozy up and stay in.
Courtyard by Marriott
The new Courtyard by Marriott is all about fun, fine dining, with Urbana, the highest rooftop bar in the Novena area, sure to be a hit. Admire Singapore from a different angle from the hotel’s rooftop infinity pool or try out their fitness centre and executive lounge. In order to get the most out of your stay, try out the hotel’s fitness activities and guided community tours. Who knows, you might learn something new.
InterContinental Robertson Quay
What used to be the old Gallery Hotel has now been transformed into the InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay. Naturally it features lots of amenities, such as a pool, 24-hour fitness club as well as Publico, its outdoor dining, alfresco restaurant. Foodies will love the hotel because it also contains Wolfgang Steakhouse, a New York institution, as well as a bar and dining concept from the team behind Izy Sushi.
