With K-beauty brands taking over our vanities and K-stars taking over our hearts, it’s no surprise that more and more Singaporeans are choosing to travel to Seoul. But while the shopping is amazing and the BBQ is 11/10, there are some hidden gems in the city and surrounding province that will make your trip just that much more unique and unforgettable.

The Amorepacific Story Garden is a must-visit for beauty die-hards. It's in Osan, which is about a 45-minute drive out of the city. Here, you'll learn the history of Amorepacific and get a sneak peek into the factory where the magic happens, pose for a mock Amorepacific advertisement, and score your own engraved lipstick! Head to storygarden.amorepacific.com to book a tour.
A beauty-full spot
Bonus: If you're too pressed for time, hit up the Sulwahsoo flagship store in Gangnam instead, which should more accurately be called the Sulwhasoo gallery, because it's THAT beautiful. It's full of special little areas such as the traditional cloth wrapping station and a room dedicated to the history. You can also sign up for guided tours and cultural and beauty classes on offer. Refresh yourself with a few testers or splurge on a custom facial.
Alice Cheongdam in Wonderland
Treat your taste buds to their very own adventure at Alice Cheongam, a speakeasy in Gangnam. Follow the white rabbits to the flight of stairs and beyond and you'll be reward with some seriously delicious and Insta-worthy cocktails.
Pocheon Art Valley
Once an old quarry, this beautiful area outside Seoul has been turned into a sculpture trail. It's also where they shot K-drama Legend of the Blue Sea. After taking photos of the lagoon, catch the monorail up to the planetarium for a quick trip through the stars.
Outside Seoul is Sansawoon, a destination popular for its traditional rice liquor. In the Sansa Garden, you'll find the most beautiful ceramic pots stacked side by side and traditional buildings. Once you've breathed in enough fresh air, head inside to the adjacent home brewing culture gallery to learn more about how this special liquor is made - and sample some too.
Grevin Wax Museum
If you're big on K-pop or K-dramas, you'll probably hope for a celebrity sighting or two. Unfortunately, hanging outside the big entertainment companies doesn't offer much of a guarantee. Instead, go cheesy and hit up the Grevin wax museum, which features superstars, including G-Dragon and Kim Soo Hyun, and makes for some hilarious photo opps - like the Tyra Banks photo bomb above.
