Hands up all those who are obsessed with the Hadid sisters’ impeccable street style. Or how about Ariana Grande’s sexy coquettish looks? These outfits don’t just come by accident—it’s the work of Californian stylist Mimi.

Mimi didn’t think about styling as a career until her mother brought up the subject when she was in college. She started working with Victoria’s Secret model (and Harry Styles’s ex) Nadine Leopold first, hoping to make styling more mainstream not just for actresses, but also for models. She met Gigi Hadid through family friends, and the rest is history!

The 26-year-old (!!) is now Priyanka Chopra’s go-to personal stylist, and together, they’ve set out to place Priyanka on multiple best-dressed lists and Mimi even styled Priyanka’s wedding looks.

What do Hollywood actors Rami Malek, Donald Glover and Tom Hiddleston have in common besides being exceptional actors? They constantly top Hollywood’s best-dressed list thanks to their stylist Ilaria.

Ilaria first started as a buyer for her aunt’s store in Los Angeles before quickly moving on to wardrobe design for TV drama The L Word. After one of the actors on the show was awarded the “Best Dressed Man on Television” by the bi-weekly publication TV Guide, she decided that menswear styling was something she wanted to pursue.

She quickly took on Chris Evans and Bradley Cooper as one of her first clients and now her roster reads as the who’s who in terms of leading Hollywood men, thanks to her keen eye for detail and love for sharp tailoring. She knows exactly how to push her client’s sartorial boundaries with colour and silhouettes without making them feel too uncomfortable on the carpet.

We don’t know about you, but to us, Kourtney Kardashian is arguably one of the most stylish Kardashians. She’s stylish without being too OTT and her outfits definitely look like something you would be able to emulate and wear out, as opposed to outfits to just take photos in.

Kourtney’s makeover comes at the behest of celebrity stylist Dani. She also took on the youngest of the clan, Kylie Jenner, shortly after she gave birth to her daughter Stormi Webster. Due to the sisters’ heavy social media presence, Michelle works round-the-clock, spending up to 14 hours a day securing many looks for them.

But Michelle’s career wasn’t simply just handed to her on a silver platter. She started out as an intern for Seventeen Magazine and fell in love with styling while assisting a photoshoot. She graduated from school early and then worked her way up, assisting other stylists until she was ready to strike out on her own.

She styles Beyoncé for a living and was responsible for all the looks on her Lemonade album, so… need we say more?! Marni’s first fashion job was working at a Versace store in Boston while attending college, but she actually cut her teeth creating performance wardrobes for hip-hop legends such as Salt-n-Peppa, Lauryn Hill and Sean Combs.

Marni has since taken on Kendall Jenner as a client, stating in an interview in Elle that off-duty dressing is just as consuming as a gig. She revealed that she personally finds it more rewarding to dress celebs when they’re off-duty than for the red carpet as she’s able to mix up brands and layer whatever looks cool on them.

Marni’s Instagram page is also a source of style inspiration. The stylist regularly posts her own extremely cool OOTD shots where her outfits act as a master class in layering. One of her most popular posts isn’t an image of her celebrity clients, but rather, an outfit she made herself utilising three plaid shirts from Target.

Karla Welch is the driving force behind some of Hollywood’s most fashion-forward women. Named the most powerful stylist by The Hollywood Reporter in 2017, Karla has credits in everything, from celebrity styling to commercial campaigns and fashion editorials in high-profile magazines.

Karla lives for the big moments, choosing to focus on red carpets for her female clients like Sarah Paulson, Amy Poehler, Elisabeth Moss and Lorde to ensure they look interesting and authentic. “A lot of my girls will be like, ‘Should I buy this?’ and I’ll be like, ‘Yeah!’ But a walk to the coffee shop is not what I’m going to do,” the stylist said in an interview in 2018 for the online publication The Cut.

The only exception she has made is for Justin Bieber, whom she has been a stylist for since 2011. If you were one of the ones who were clamouring for a piece of Justin Bieber’s merch during his Purpose tour in 2016, we’ll have you know that it was a collaboration between Karla and Justin. She later went on to create a line of white T-shirts inspired by the pop star with clothing label Hanes.
