OMG, Dior Is Collaborating With Our Favourite Surf Brand From The ’90s

The name Kim Jones might not be instantly recognizable to people outside of the fashion industry, but one thing’s for sure, you’ve definitely know of or seen his work in some capacity. Hell, you probably even know someone who tried to queue up for it or attempted to desperately DM someone on the resale market.

The former artistic director of Louis Vuitton Menswear was the brilliant mind behind one of the most coveted designer collaborations in history—we’re talking about Louis Vuitton x Supreme.

Now as the current creative director of Dior Men, Jones is trying to see if lightning can strike twice by announcing a collaboration with one his favourite skate and surf brands, Stüssy.

Ahead of his men’s Pre-Fall show in Miami, Jones dropped a cryptic Instagram post followed by an interview with WWD talking about how much the brand influenced him in his formative teen years. “I used to wear it head-to-toe all the time in my teens. It was something I was really, really, really obsessed by. I’ve [still] got boxes of it,” he said.

The show will be revealed in a couple of hours, but according to the visuals on Dior’s official Instagram, we see brightly coloured graphics of palm trees and tie-dye hues that are reminiscent of Stüssy surf roots.

And while this collaboration will exclusively be a men’s collection, let’s just say we have an inkling that women would be more than willing to steal a piece. Starting with Billie Eilish.
