We all start a new job with the idea that we’re going to have the perfect OOOTD (office outfit of the day) every day, but after a month or two let’s be real, the commitment starts to dwindle.
I am of course speaking from my own experience. I started with CLEO just over six weeks ago and for the first few weeks I planned my outfits the night before, made sure not to repeat the same look twice, and even braved heels with a few looks. But now, I’m sitting here writing this article in trainers — OK, so the line between appropriate and inappropriate office wear gets a little blurred when you work in the fashion industry. Tracksuit bottoms are a AW17 trend and the Vetements hobo phenom has made it more than OK to wear a hoodie, but when is it too much, or in some cases too little?
With that dilemma in mind I turn your attention G2000’s latest AW17 collection. Not only office appropriate, there are pieces here you could also just as easily wear on the weekend. That metallic dress for example: wear it by itself and it’s an instant Friday night winner even after a day of wearing it with trousers to work. Or the black blazer and matching trouser look, slip on a pair of stilettos and you could mince around an art gallery like a real-deal art collector.
So whether you’re about to start a new job, need to up your office outfit game a little or just want to stay on top of the smart dressing game. These are our favourite looks from G2000. And, you can wear them any day of the week.
