Our 10 Favourite Pieces From Pomelo’s New Collection

Some are so sparkly!

If you think an autumn wardrobe needs to be made up of dark hues and heavy materials, Pomelo’s Fall collection will make you think twice. Last week, I flew to Bangkok to check out Pomelo’s head office and their upcoming Fall collection – which, I’ll declare now, is the bomb!

They’ve ripped up the Fall rule book and opted for bold colours, prints (some of which were designed in-house) and a ton of sequins.

There are pieces perfect for the office, such as the red blazer I wore in the photo below, as well as a white long-sleeved shirt that’s also a bodysuit – which is great because you don’t have to worry about tucking your shirt into your skirt or pants every time you move. Tailored trousers match the numerous blazers on offer, and the selection of midi skirts available mean there’s pretty much one for every day of the week.

More casual pieces include the high-waist denim shorts (which I wore in the same photo), and graphic tees that can be easily dressed up or down depending on your mood. These are totally versatile and match any outfit – great when you’re a girl on a budget!

If you’re big on dresses, try this knitted blue midi. I initially thought it was perfect for the beach, but later realised that it also makes for a great low-key weekend look when paired with a pair of loafers.

The collection’s evening wear, however, is my fave as it has every occasion sorted. The colour-block velvet wrap dresses and tops are great for casual dinners, while the sequinned pieces will liven up any party and are perfect for the festive season ahead. For an everyday look, I would complement this sequinned skirt with a casual tee and sneakers.

I’ve always been impressed with Pomelo’s range of accessories as they’re always on-trend, and this collection is no different. There are statement earrings that are great for jazzing up any look, and cute mini bags that are big enough to hold your essentials without looking bulky. Their range of sunglasses are also impressive, and give designer brands a run for their money, especially when they start from a very reasonable $14.
