You would have heard by now that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have tied the knot at one of the palaces in Jodhpur, India, Umaid Bhavan Palace. What you might not have seen till last night was the dress—and lehenga—that the actress wore for her wedding.

It was reported that she would be wearing a bespoke Ralph Lauren dress designed by the designer himself, and wow, oh wow, was the dress AMAZING.

Priyanka walked down the aisle in what the brand described as a “strapless column dress embellished with pearlescent sequins”. The dress was overlaid with high-neck coat—hand embroidered, no less—with scalloped sleeves. And if you looked closely, you might notice that the embroidery included eight significant words and phrases selected by the bride, including “family”, “hope” and “compassion”. Nawww.

All of that magnificence was topped with a 75-foot veil—about 22.86 metres. This means her veil was longer than her bestie Meghan Markle’s, whose royal veil was 16 food (4.85 metres).

Apart from her white gown, the Bollywood star also had a Hindu wedding on Sunday, during which she wore a red lehenga. The suit was a custom Sabyasachi, and according to the designer’s page, it was adorned with hand-embroidered, hand-cut organza flowers and Siam red crystals. If it looks out-of-the-world to you, it’s because it probably is—it took 3,720 hours to make!

Yesterday, the couple held their wedding reception in Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in New Delhi. Priyanka wore a custom champagne-toned Falguni Shane Peacock lehenga choli with silver embellishments. According to the brand’s Instagram page, the suit is adorned with millions of crystals and took 12,000 man hours of 80 craftsmen to make. She also wore a three-tier diamond necklace with matching earrings.

Ahead of her wedding, she also held pre-wedding ceremonies mehndi and sangeet—the former involved painting henna on Priyanka, while the latter is a song and dance function where the bride and grooms friends and family dance the night away.

The couple’s huge celebration on Saturday culminated in a fireworks display at night, which sparked criticism from some Twitter users, who thought Priyanka was being hypocritical. After all, the actress is an ambassador for Breathefree, a public service initiative for asthma patients. She had previously appeared in an advertisement to promote a firecracker-free Deepavali.
