Fans of MCM, this is the collaboration you’ve probably been waiting for: the fashion label that’s popular among Korean celebrities will be collaborating with sportswear brand PUMA.
The two brands are teaming up to commemorate PUMA’s iconic Suede sneaker’s 50th anniversary – which means the classic sneaker will be getting an update in the form of MCM’s signature monogram.
The shoes will be made of durable Visetos canvas, and the shoe’s tongue will be adorned with a brass plate with the MCM logo and unique registration number, like one would find in MCM’s handbags. The packaging of the shoes are luxe too: you’ll receive a textured “canvas” shoebox adorned with lacquered MCM logos and foil details.
Apart from the sneakers, which will be available in three colours, the collection will also feature track jacket and track pants. According to the press release, the pieces “pay tribute to the founding days of hip-hop”.
If you’re expecting MCM’s signature backpack to make it into the collection, we’ve got bad news: it didn’t. But who knows, maybe they’ll team up again for MCM’s anniversary.
The collaboration will feature two colourways – the classic cognac and white, and red-blue multicolour – and will be available from June 8, 2018. Scroll through the gallery to see the full collection and find out the price and availability.
