Where we’re from, we’re so spoilt for choices especially in the beauty department. But I’ve started noticing a number of locally-made beauty products and I have to say I am impressed (you’ll be too!).
- Basic Theory Arabica Coffee The Basic Body Polish, $28 (from 22 Jan)
Coffee lovers will enjoy this body polish as it’s packed full of goodness from carefully sourced organic and fair-trade ground roasted Arabica coffee! It is also made with an organic oil blend that deeply cleanses and exfoliates the skin.
- Faux Fayc Fauxstix Lip & Cheek Gel Tint in Tangy, $32
We love multi and dual-purpose products. Use it on the cheeks for a pretty rosy glow or lips for that just-bitten pout. It also comes in Atom – a more pinky red hue.
The Skin Pharmacy Serum No. 6, $129.90
Great for those experiencing premature signs of ageing, this serum is not only lightweight and penetrates quickly into the skin, it is full of skin-loving goodness like Rose Otto, Immortelle, Roman Chamomile and Frankincense essential oils in an Argan and Marula Oil base. It is also 100% natural and contains no preservatives.
Winter Organics Chamomile Facial Cleanser, $25.90
If you have sensitive skin or want a gentle product, this cleanser is it. Thanks to chamomile and its blend of aloe vera, calendula, ylang ylang, rosemary and orange, skin feels really soothed.
Merci Encore Glow Elixir 8ml, $37
If happy had a scent, this would be it. This all-natural, aromatherapy handcrafted perfume in a travel-friendly roll-on makes for a fabulous pick-me-up. Its stimulating mix of blood orange, bergamot and rose geranium also helps to relieve nervous tension.
