The way your dress can say a lot about you, especially when it comes to an office environment where first impressions make all the difference in how your peers perceive you. We get it, finding the perfect business attire can be a hassle. Especially in this day and age where dress codes can vary from industry to industry. Some companies will expect you to follow strict dress codes, whereas others give you the freedom to wear whatever you want as long as it’s not too revealing. The goal is to find the right balance.
And with the added goal of trying to be stylish AND comfortable (you do have to wear these clothes for at least 10 hours in a day), sometimes decoding the perfect office attire can start to feel like an impossible task.
A great way to incorporate some personality is to add some bright colours into your wardrobe. Say it with me, Pantone is your friend. Just keep it office-appropriate by keeping to no more than three colours per look. You can selecting one dominant colour and and then integrating more neutral tones around it.
However, if the three-color rule is a little too much for you, you can always stick to one color from head to toe. You can never go wrong with a monochromatic look. Pastel hues and soft colours can also be visually very appealing, in fact we’re quite partial to a pastel pink suit.
