Millennials of Singapore, this piece of news shouldn’t come as too much of a shock to you – the peak hour for streaming shows on Netflix here is at around 10pm, a time where most people would have already knocked off work and are already settled in for the night.
This streaming habit of Singaporeans was revealed in a study of six months’ worth of global Netflix streaming data, which includes Australia, Canada, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and United States.
And while we might be from different countries, it seems like our streaming habits are not all that different. Workers in India tend to watch shows on the streaming service at 9am and 5pm – during the peak hour commutes to and from the office. People also tend to stream dramas like Narcos, House of Cards, and Sherlock during lunch hour from noon to 2pm.
Interestingly, Netflix also found that people tend to stream comedies in the morning. Data shows that comedy sees a 34% worldwide increase around 7am. Well, that’s one way of making sure that you have a great start to your day despite rush hour crowds. Not sure which comedy to start with? Scroll through the gallery below for a LOL list!
