All-in-all, there were 42 items in this year’s Oscars goodie bag — the “consolation” prize for all those who didn’t win a golden statuette. Totaling about USD$100,000 (which is about SGD$141,000), it seems like a pretty good way to soothe the pain of losing!
The items inside range from a customised box of crayons (why would anyone need these?) to a CPR Anytime Kit from the American Heart Association (handy…). Also a few jewellery and fashion items, and most exciting perhaps (at least to us) a range of travel stays in places like California and Italy — though this is considered a bit of a downgrade from last year where the goodie bag included a ten-day first class trip to Israel and a 15-day walking tour of Japan.
