Red Velvet came to Singapore as a quintet for their first concert in Singapore, part of their REDMARE tour. But halfway through the concert, member Joy got injured, forcing the group to continue as a quartet.
Mid-way through performing “Bad Dracula”, Joy was seen bending her elbow and resting her hand on the small of her back before walking off the stage the moment the song ended. At first, we thought her dress had torn while she was dancing and she was trying to prevent it from falling apart, but Seulgi later announced that Joy had hurt her shoulder.
A while later, Joy reappeared on stage with her arm in a temporary sling, while crying.
Joy is crying…. she rlly wan to perform but she hurt her shoulder while performing. And she jus had an emergency cure jus now. She needs to go to the hospital now. She said she's really sorry 🙁#REDMAREinSG pic.twitter.com/xPSEUSrP6K

She said, “Just now, during the performance, I felt a pain on the right side of my elbow. I really wanted to perform today but I was told I have to go to the hospital now. I’m so sorry.“
The 22-year-old seemed reluctant to leave the stage and had to be consoled by her fellow members.
As the members and fans bade goodbye to Joy, leader Irene announced that she, along with Wendy, Seulgi and Yeri, would continue the show as a quartet.
