Last year, McDonald’s sent the whole of Singapore into a frenzy with their Nasi Lemak burger. With Singapore’s birthday approaching pretty soon this year, McDonald’s has released a limited edition menu that infuses local flavours such as Har Cheong Gai (prawn paste chicken) and the king of fruits, durian, into its burgers and desserts. The new offerings are all about paying homage to our unique heritage and culture with a modern spin – and we are totally on board with this agenda!
Following the launch of their indulgent Durian McFlurry last week (which all durian lovers would have tried by now), the limited edition menu, which includes Ha Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Burger, Ha Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Drumlets, Criss Cut Fries and the Breakfast Curry Burger (only available during breakfast hours), is now available at all McDonald outlets.
For those of you with a sweet tooth, McDonald’s Kueh Salat Cake and Himalayan Tea will be available all day in all McCafe outlets from July 12, while stocks last.
We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to fill our tummies with McDonald’s new mouth-watering local menu.

This burger’s juicy chicken patty is marinated with real prawn paste and coated with crispy breadcrumbs. If the very thought of Ha Cheong Gai burger is daunting to you, you’ll be pleased to know that the prawn paste taste is not too strong, so we reckon everyone might enjoy this.
These drumlets have an extra crisp to them, thanks to the generous coat of shrimp paste batter that’s fried to golden perfection. In fact, we dare say they taste like authentic Har Cheong Gai! (Good job, McD!)
Yes, the famed fries are back! Can’t remember how they tasted like? One word: awesome.
Can’t decide between the burger and the drumlets? Indulge in the ultimate feast that includes the Ha Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Burger, two pieces of Ha Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Drumlets, a medium Criss Cut Fries and a small Coke for just $9.90.
If you can’t wait till lunch to try the new menu, why not start your mornings with the new Breakfast Curry Burger that features a tender chicken patty layered with the McDonald’s classic Curry Sauce, topped with melted cheese and a sunny side-up? Sounds delish, but we can’t tell you how it tastes like exactly because we didn’t get to try it (yet).
The Durian McFlurry contains REAL D24 durian puree – what’s not to love? Read our review here.
The Kueh Salat Cake is making a comeback this year with the perfect combination of pandan mousse, sponge cake and sticky rice topped with coconut flakes. Think of it as a marriage between the pandan chiffon cake and the puteri salat kueh.
Complement your Kueh Salat Cake with the Himalayan Tea made with Thai spices and honey. If you loved the Himalayan Tea Latte from McCafe, we bet you’ll love this too!
