You may have heard Singapore being dubbed as “the world’s greenest city.” That’s because, in 2017, a study done by Treepedia showed that almost 30% of Singapore is covered by trees and vegetation.
And most of these trees and vegetation can be linked back to Singapore’s parks. With over 300 parks, five Park Connector loops and many other routes and trails, it’s no wonder Singapore is the greenest city.
It may be hard to explore all 300 parks in Singapore, so we’ve sifted through and selected the 10 parks that’ll show off Singapore’s greenery and unleash your inner child with its unique facilities. Plus, if you really need to leave the house because of cabin fever despite the safe distancing measures, it might be better to go to one of these parks that are not as crowded as the malls.
Do note that if you do see any wild animals lurking around in public spaces whilst exploring, don’t provoke them. These wild animals are protected by law and deserve better handling and care. Call the ACRES wildlife rescue hotline at 9783 7782 for emergencies.
