You might still remember Gong Yoo from his roles in Train to Busan and Goblin. And you might be a fan of Park Bo Gum for his roles in Encounter and Love in the Moonlight. If those heartthrobs made your heart skipped a beat as you watched their shows, prepare your heart because the two actors will be acting in a movie together!
It was announced this morning that Bo Gum will be acting in a movie about human cloning, alongside Gong Yoo, who was the first to be casted for a role. (And we’re SO THRILLED!)
His involvement in the movie was confirmed about a month after he was reported to be in talks for the role. The movie Seo Bok (working title), sees Gong Yoo playing the role of Ki Heon, a former intelligence agent who meets the world’s first human clone, Seo Bok (played by Park Bo Gum). The two gets entangled in dangerous situations as forces seek to possess Seo Bok.
We’re extremely excited about the movie, given that Gong Yoo seems to have a penchant of picking the most interesting movies with social narratives. Prior to acting in Train to Busan, he acted in Silence, a film adaptation of a book based on a real story of a school for the hearing impaired whose students were sexually and physically abused by teachers and administrative staff.
While Gong Yoo has acted in quite a number of movies over the years, Park Bo Gum has focused his efforts on the small screen, and this will mark his return to the silver screen after four years.
Filming will reportedly start in April this year.
Who else is excited about the movie as we are?
