One look at the CLEO Bachelors and you’d think, “Wah, these guys can definitely protect me.” And that was exactly what they did last weekend when they went on a date with the CLEO Bachelors Insiders.
CLEO Bachelors Glenn, Hadi, Kelvin and Kenny went on a quadruple date with Candy, Gina, Rayna and Roxanne. It wasn’t just any date – it involved hunting zombies. Before you freak out, they weren’t fighting off real undead hordes, but virtual ones at VR gaming arcade Zero Latency at Suntec City. We couldn’t see what they were seeing through those VR headsets, but it was clear they were having loads of fun. Check out the gallery below for the highlights!
Roxanne getting her equipment strapped on. You need to wear a vest and headgear to play the game.
Rayna followed suit. Despite the weight of the equipment, the CLEO Bachelors Insiders had no trouble clearing the two 15-minute challenges!
Hadi looking extremely excited about the games. Halfway through the first game, he exclaimed, “I need to tell you guys something. I’m afraid of heights!”
Candy is all set to take down some zombies…
…with sharpshooter Kelvin by her side.
Before the games…
After the games.
They ranked in the top 300 out of more than 1,500 groups. Good job, everyone!
After the games, the group headed down to Gudetama Cafe for a lunch session. After taking their seats, as if on cue, the Bachelors started pouring iced water for the girls. How gentlemanly! Scroll through the gallery to see what they thought of the date.
The CLEO Bachelors and Bachelors Insiders were ready to chat, but first, FOOD.
The dessert looked delish!
Kenny looked like he was in a food coma. And we don’t blame him because the servings were pretty generous.
“I think it was pretty fun. We got to do something we wouldn’t really do in our daily lives, like playing VR games. I also got to know the other guys and the girls. There was great interaction among us.” – Kelvin
“It was a fun and interesting experience. Usually, we only see their photos and don’t know how they’re really like. I was sitting with Kelvin, who was friendly and approachable. He would try to initiate conversations and even helped serve me the food!” – Candy
“It was a unique experience. I’ve never really had a girlfriend my whole life – I know, it’s very sad, right? – so this was kind of my first date! To be honest, I was quite shy and awkward at first, but after a while, I got more comfortable talking to the girls as well as the fellow Bachelors.” – Glenn
“The whole experience was really fun and I really enjoyed it. It allowed us to have a more personal interaction with the guys rather than just seeing them in the magazine, or on stage during the Finals and public events. In his photos, Glenn gave off closed-off, cool vibes, but in real life, he’s friendly and is someone you can joke around with.” – Rayna
“It was a really good experience to get to meet my fellow CLEO Bachelors and the Bachelors Insiders. It gave us a chance to get to know each other better, especially during the meal. We talked to each other a lot, not just with the girl I was sitting with, but with everyone.” – Kenny
“I enjoyed the whole experience, especially playing the games at Zero Latency. It was a good ice-breaker, but not the best because it was hard for us to get to know one another. But during the lunch, we got to interact more. I hope there will be more activities like this!” – Gina
“The cafe setting is very nice, and I really enjoyed the food. The company was nice too. I thought it would be quiet and awkward, but the CLEO Bachelors and the girls were really nice.” – Hadi
“It was a fun day! We played the VR game, which was a unique experience. During lunch, I sat with Hadi, who is a nice and friendly guy. I found out that he’s a guy who knows what he wants and is very family-oriented.” – Roxanne
